The Uwharrie Players is so excited to announce BRIGHT STAR as our Summer Production which will be performed July 28-30 and August 4-6, 2023 at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center in Albemarle. At the workshop, you will meet the director and music director, read scenes from the script, listen to some of the score, sing a song or two as a group and learn a little movement. No scary solos or hard dance moves required!
We will discuss:
- The musical's story and why it's so incredible
- Auditions and what to prepare - learn some valuable tips and what directors are really looking for!
- The type of singing style needed
- The Director's vision for this production
- What the set will look like and how it will function
- The many roles and importance of the ensemble
- The type of movement needed throughout this show
We will meet at The Uwharrie Players Clubhouse, 546 East Main Street, Albemarle, NC.
